Woodsprite

This was a very early experimental piece: abandoned as unfinished in 1994.
It is small & delicate (4" high) and extremely hard to manufacture.
It was intended to be used as a Christmas Tree topper - as an alternative to the traditional 'fairy' and it represents the Wood Spirit which dwells in every tree (and indeed is the origin of the modern day Christmas Angel).
